Role of Digital Twin in SMART CITIES
The city is utilizing digital twins to build a thermal grid to facilitate heat exchange between buildings and make entire neighborhoods more energy efficient. It is also implementing smart parking using mobile apps and wireless sensors to help drivers find parking spaces faster, reducing car mileage and pollution.

Urban or city digital twins are a virtual representation of a city's physical assets, using data, data analytics and machine learning to build simulation models that can be updated and changed (real-time) as their physical equivalents change.A digital twin is, in essence, a computer program that uses real world data to create simulations that can predict how a product or process will perform. These programs can integrate the internet of things (Industry 4.0), artificial intelligence and software analytics to enhance the output.

Role of Metaverse on Sustainability
Notwithstanding its perceived benefits, it has a few drawbacks too. According to Data Quest, analysts are worried that the metaverse could lead to an influx of greenhouse gas emissions. Virtual reality technology and data centers use AI and cloud services, which require quite large amounts of energy.he most straightforward environmental benefit of the Metaverse is that it allows physical events, constructions, activities and products to take virtual forms. The fashion industry had been a major polluter. According to UNEP, 3,781 litres of water are needed just to make a pair of jeans. The metaverse has the potential benefit of reducing crime rates and improving moralityin society because it provides an environment that is less risky than the real world. It has been said that the metaverse will allow people to explore their fantasies without taking any physical risks.
