Department of Management Studies, IISc, was delighted to host Ar. Jyothi Gupta (Ph.D.), Associate Professor at the School of Architecture, Christ University, Bangalore, for an insightful session on "MANAGING NET-ZERO TECHNOLOGIES FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE: BRIDGING THE GAP".
Her expertise in Sustainability Management and Net-Zero Technologies shed light on India's journey towards a sustainable future.

Ar. Gupta (Ph.D.) began with a powerful introduction to Sustainability Management, emphasizing its critical role in shaping our world. She highlighted the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their significance in driving global sustainability. The discussion delved into Net-Zero Energy Buildings, particularly Green Building initiatives. These projects represent a crucial step towards reducing our carbon footprint and securing a cleaner, more eco-friendly future. ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) principles came into focus as Ar. Gupta (Ph.D.) stressed their importance in guiding organizations toward ethical and sustainable practices. ESG isn't just a buzzword; it's a pathway to a better tomorrow.

The session didn't stop at theory but delved into real-world applications with inspiring case studies. These projects exemplify how sustainable practices can be integrated into architecture and urban planning to reduce our environmental impact. Ar. Gupta (Ph.D.) talk unveiled critical gaps that must be bridged to achieve Net-Zero targets. It's not just about ambition; it's about strategic, collective action.

As she eloquently shared, India is making significant strides in its Net-Zero journey. It's encouraging to see how our nation is gearing up for a more sustainable and environmentally responsible future.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ar. Gupta (Ph.D.) Gupta for such an insightful session. Your dedication to sharing knowledge is deeply appreciated. Let's participate in this movement towards a greener, more sustainable world!

We also thank Prof Prof M H Bala Subrahmanya Sir for organizing the seminar and presenting the token on behalf of the Department of Management Studies, IISc.
